Building Needs: List of Needs and Expenses

Several months ago, after announcing we'd been granted the 'Special Use Permit' at the city council meeting that would allow us to have this building, many of our online viewers who watch Harvest's messages regularly and consider themselves part of our body, wrote requesting that we keep them updated on the progress of the building, including not only pictures, but also specific costs, expenses and needs for the building. Our Internet friend David, suggested we actually itemize every item needed, down to the last 'jot' and 'tittle' for those wanting to contribute; Every item from largest to smallest. When we announced the need for folks to sponsor chairs, many others who wanted to contribute wrote to us with the same suggestion. So we created this blog in response to those requests, as a way to post updates on the building and pictures so everyone could follow the progress, and as well, in response to those wanting to know specifically, how they can contribute. No item is too small, if you feel led to sponsor something. We'll be needing a lot of screws and nails. ; ) Here is the updated 'Needs and Expenses' Post.

CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY: Total Cost: $50,000 dollars: (See below for breakdown) In order to actually 'have church,' this is the 'Grand-Schwammy' of 'City' Documents. ; ) It means we are completed enough to actually meet, congregate and hold services in our building. To have that, we do not have to be 'finished' so to speak. We have to have drywall up, HVAC in working order, lights and plumbing. (Working bathrooms) We can get that piece of paper, with those things. (We have chairs for 300, paid for and on there way! What a blessing! Thank you all so much, who sponsored chairs! ; ) We can get into our building, teaching God's Word and worshipping the Lord with 'just' a 'Certificate of Occupancy.'

So far in this process, the Lord has completely provided financially, and has provided the perfect humans, who would literally, walk in, with the needed skills at the exact time we were ready for them! The amazing men the Lord has brought to this process, has blown our minds, touched our hearts, and shown us over and over again, that God truly does 'know' every, single detail, and His timing is perfect. :) We have been able to pay for every phase thus far, however, going into this drywall phase, and to get the Certificate of Occupancy, we are now at zero, (again ; ) and we will be ready to begin the drywall phase within two weeks. Okay Lord! :) So here are items and expenses needed to begin the next phase, get our C. of O. and get into the building, broken down:

For Certificate of Occupancy:

Sheetrock Purchase and Installation: $25,000

Restrooms: $7,000

Windows, (windows in each classroom for parents to see their children) and Internal Doors : $5,000

Concrete blocks and labor to fill in three huge, former entrances: $3,000

Sanctuary, Stage and Sanctuary lighting: $10,000

Being able to worship the Lord and hold services & events in our new building...? PRICELESS! ; )
(Good one Ryan ; )

LUXURY ITEMS:
Well, as we don't need these usual necessities to get the C. of O., these items are considered 'strictly LUXURY' at this point. ; ) However, if you feel so led to sponsor or contribute, these are needed items as well.

PAINT: Paint, Primer, brushes/rollers, etc. (wall color)
CARPET: Carpet for at least the sanctuary- then perhaps halls/classrooms, offices.
TILE: For bathrooms and entryway, rugs, etc.
FELLOWSHIP HALL: Kitchen cabinets, counter tops for kitchen area, Round Tables, refrigerator, etc.
CLASSROOMS: Tables, chairs, wipe boards, writing materials, paper, crayons, etc.
