This Week in Building News! Sat, Nov. 21st!

Well, this week saw a LOT get done! The 21 new parking spots on the north side of the building were paved and painted! Very exciting! The walls of the green room were framed along with lots of other work. One of the biggest concerns, was that the huge, monster HVAC units that go on the top of the building, were scheduled to be 'crane-lifted' up and onto the roof, Friday! The day Reno was to expect our first big winter storm of the season... Oh no! There was a lot of praying going on!

The crew was there, bright eyed and bushy tailed, crane ready, early Friday morning. The wind had been howling all night, and as it does in Reno, gusting between 60-70 mph. Yikes! Steve headed off with camera in hand, promising me he would not get crushed by a crane, squished by a flying or falling unit, or hit in the temple by flying debris. I was dubious, but God is good. :) We did indeed pray for safety. Praise God, the crew was able to get everything done and all the units lifted before the snowline dropped and it started to get ugly later in the afternoon. So now the HVAC is all nice and finished. And we ask that you all just close your eyes, don't look up, and in general, just pretend you do not see MONSTER, giant sized duct work in the sanctuary ceiling. :)At least we know we will be nice and warm, or cool, as the case may be, in this amazing new building! Thank you Lord. The beautiful, newly striped parking area the crane is on, is our new paving on the north side.
